Stefanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who holds Master’s degrees in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Stefanie specializes in working with adolescents and their families. She also enjoys working with children and young adults. Stefanie has provided counseling services through in-home-based programs, inpatient hospitalization as well as partial hospitalization treatment settings, in Wisconsin (and briefly Northern Illinois) over the last 8 years prior to joining Pathways Consulting in 2015.
Stefanie’s theoretical orientation is eclectic, most often utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, solution focused models, and play therapy with children. She strongly values continuing education and enjoys learning new and creative therapeutic approaches. Stefanie also believes the therapeutic relationship is an important part of therapy and spends time building this relationship with each client. Areas of interest include: Self-harm, issues related to identity (including sexual identity), mood disorders, depression, adjustment, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, behavioral challenges, depression, parenting support, and relationship issues.
