Kayla Lighty, LPC
Kayla is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. Kayla specializes in working with adults in all walks of life. Kayla has worked in a hospital setting with cancer patients and their caregivers, in a community mental health setting as an outpatient therapist, as well as working in a Christian counseling center.
Kayla uses a range of theories from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Problem-Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. She strongly believes the therapeutic relationship is an important part of therapy and spends time building each unique relationship with the client. She also believes it is important to feel there is a good match between him or herself and the therapist. Areas of interest are: Trauma, addiction, grief/loss, adjustment, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression.
