EMDR Therapy

Pathways is proud to offer EMDR therapy, which focuses on clients dealing with trauma. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that is used in the treatment of trauma. More information can be found on the EMDR Institute website.

Two of Pathways’ therapists specialize in this method of treatment. Lora Reinders, MSW, LCSW and Director of Pathways, is trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute. Kate Bullard, MS, NCC, LPC, SAC is trained in many therapeutic modalities, including EMDR.

Brainspotting

Gottman Method

Lora Reinders is also trained in the Gottman method, which is an approach to couples therapy that includes an in-depth assessment of the relationship and incorporates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory. Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy

Jacob Martinez specializes in acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy which involves psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies, together with commitment and behavior change strategies, to increase clients’ ability to make healthy contact with thoughts, feelings, memories, and physical sensations that have been feared and avoided.
